The Orange County Housing Authority (OCHA) is accepting applications for Oakcrest Heights side-based waiting list. Oakcrest Heights is located at 22733 Oakcrest Circle, Yorba Linda, CA 92887. It is a Project Based Vouchers (PBV) for an affordable housing project consisting of four (1) bedroom and four (2) bedroom apartments. Project-Based Voucher Program
The Project-Based Voucher (PBV) Program is a discretionary component of the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program. The PBV attaches rental assistance to specific housing units in properties that are determined to be decent, safe and sanitary through the Housing Quality Standards inspection process. Under the PBV program, Orange County Housing Authority (OCHA) enters into an assistance contract with the owner for specified units and for a specified term.
Tenants residing in Project-based units pay 30% of their income for rent and utilities, and the balance of their housing costs are paid by OCHA. Tenants in Project-Based units are assisted as long as they live in the unit and continue to qualify for the program.
The County of Orange released an amendment to the 2020 Supportive Housing Notice of Availability (NOFA) on March 24, 2020. The 2020 NOFA amendments are as follows:
Revised Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Term Sheet (Attachment D) to clarify population to be served, outline the loan limit per regulated unit and update the recommended maximum COSR to reflect the capital loan limit
Clarified the timeframes for eligible developments in the 2020 Supportive Housing NOFA, (Page 1)

The purpose of the 2020 Supportive Housing Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) is to make available up to thirteen million in Orange County Housing Successor Agency funds, Federal HOME Investment Partnership Program funds and/or Mental Health Services Act funds to promote the acquisition, new construction and acquisition/rehabilitation of Supportive Housing and 200 Project-Based Vouchers to support Orange County’s extremely low-income households who are homeless.
