The County of Orange (County) proactively attempts to reasonably accommodate and assist employees in returning to work at their earliest medically allowable date, following an on-the-job injury/illness or debilitating injury/illness unrelated to their work. The County understands the concerns and potential impact such injuries or illnesses may have on an employee and recognizes the sensitivity and importance of maintaining confidentiality and expediency when coordinating an individual employee’s leave of absence and return to work. In doing so, the County maintains a strong commitment to comply with all State and Federal leave laws, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and leave entitlements offered to employees under each of the respective Memorandum of Understandings between the County and the recognized bargaining associations.
