Assembly Bill No. 1234 (Chapter 700, Statutes of 2005) imposed requirements on certain public officials to complete an ethics training every two years. These requirements are codified in Cal. Govt. Code § 53234 through 53235.2.

The Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) Online Training Program is the official training resource for the public officials who are required to complete the ethics training.
