September 4, 2014  California Coastal Cleanup Day - September 20, 2014Every year, on the third Saturday in September, people join together at sites all over California to take part in the State's largest volunteer event, California Coastal Cleanup Day. In 2013, more than 58,000 volunteers removed almost 749,000 pounds of trash and recyclables from California's beaches, lakes, and waterways. Families, friends, coworkers, scout troops, school groups, service clubs, and individuals come together to celebrate and share their appreciation of California's fabulous coast and waterways.

July 23, 2014  Katherine "Katie" Johnson Recognized with the County's Excellence in Volunteerism Award!

The Excellence in Volunteerism Award recognizes County of Orange volunteers who generously apply their time, talents and expertise in meeting community needs and challenges. Katie Johnson was presented with the award on July 10, 2014 for her outstanding volunteer efforts with the OC Public Libraries, Ladera Ranch Library.
