OC Healthy Steps Extended 

If you already completed your three OC Healthy Steps or are in one of the groups below, please disregard this update:

  • Enrolled in Sharewell Choice Plan
  • New employee hired after May 1, 2015
  • Employees on a leave of absence as of May 1, 2015
  • A dependent enrolled in the Employee Married to Employee (EME program
  • Not enrolled in a County Health Plan

Otherwise if you completed your three steps by Friday August 21, 2015 you will:

  • See your Wellness Credit in your Open Enrollment materials in October 2015.
  • Receive your Wellness Credit beginning pay period one in 2016 (1/15/16)

For those who are not able to complete the steps by August 21, 2015 the County is providing a limited extension period with a delayed payment of the OC Healthy Steps Wellness Credit. 

The extension period will be from August 22, 2015 through September 25, 2015.  If you complete these three steps during the extension period, your bi-weekly health plan payroll deductions for 2016 will not reflect your Wellness Participation Credit until February 11, 2016 and there will be no retroactive payment of credits missed due to the extension.

There will be three (3) additional onsite screenings available during the extension period as well as individual lab appointments or you may choose to visit your own health care provider for a screening or have them complete the form based on a prior screening.  For screening dates and locations and to complete your steps please log onto ochealthysteps.staywell.com.
