HCA Purchasing Services is a high volume procurement department that provides quality administrative support to approximately 2,600 agency employees.
The department is responsible for managing all non-human service related purchasing and procurement requests, and is responsible for the oversight and monitoring of capital and controlled assets, the surplus system, warehouse management and Cal card/petty cash system for the Agency.
The department purchases materials, supplies, furnishings, equipment and services needed for the agency to perform its business functions, and it oversees the multi-tiered master agreement monitoring system with 314 contracts, in addition to the external and single contract audit function, and self-audit functions specific to the activities of procurement and administration. This 19 member unit of procurement professionals is one of the largest in the County.
