Raise your heart rate and your spirits on this strenuous, fast-paced, 5.5-mile hike over steep and uneven terrain (900-ft. elevation gain) with Laguna Canyon Foundation volunteers.

  • Laguna Coast Wilderness Park, James Dilley Preserve (I-5 or 405 south to 133 south to stoplight at 73 toll road; and make a U-turn, go 1 block. Dilley is on the right.)

The Steamport Summer Program is a 5 week program that explores the different fields of science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math, introducing the STEM fields while mixing in the creativity of the arts. This year the program will begin with an introduction to chemistry and the building blocks of matter and conclude with an engineering activity. The classes will consist of hands on projects and experiments such as building a simple refracting telescope and making color changing slime, in addition to short lectures and fun STEM videos.

Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade can practice their reading skills, one-on-one, with one of our friendly and supportive Teen Volunteers. 

Children in grades K -2 have 20 minute reading sessions.

Children in grades 3 - 5 have 30 minute reading sessions.

Rookie Reader Program

2017 Summer Concert Series – The Federal Empire and Kelly Rae Band
OC Parks - Irvine Regional Park

The County of Orange and OC Parks welcome back the annual outdoor Summer Concert Series with 10 free concerts at Craig Regional Park, Mason Regional Park, Irvine Regional Park, Mile Square Regional Park and Bluff Park at Salt Creek Beach. Celebrate the summer season with live music, food trucks and friends and family on Thursday evenings June 22 through August 24. Put on your dancing shoes and head to Irvine Regional Park in Orange to see The Federal Empire perform their amped-up Americana on Thursday, July 20.

All of the OC Parks Summer Concert Series events take place from 6 to 8 p.m., are free to attend, with free parking and open to the public of all ages. Food trucks will be serving at each location and a beer and wine garden will be available to those 21 and over. Come out to the parks, bring a blanket and a beach chair and enjoy great local live music in celebration of summertime at OC Parks this summer season.
