County of Orange Social Services Agency Receives Crown Communities Award
The County of Orange Social Services Agency (SSA) is pleased to announce it has been honored with the 2018 Crown Communities Award presented by American City & County magazine. SSA was recognized for its simulation training program, the first of its kind in the state specifically designed for Adult Protective Services (APS) workers.

Armory Shelters in Santa Ana and Fullerton Extend Hours Due to Rain
With coordination and support from the California Military Department, the Orange County Armory Emergency Shelter Program in Santa Ana and Fullerton is operating on a 24-hour basis beginning today through Saturday morning to provide shelter and protection to the homeless community during the current and predicted rain.

2018 a Historic Year for Dogs and Cats at OC Animal Care
OC Animal Care broke its organizational record in 2018 by achieving a combined save rate of 81.74 percent for dogs and cats, almost 10 percent higher than in 2017.
